THE PROJECT

City Faces of 100 Years is an exhibition of photographic and interview materials which explores ideas of identity and belonging in the Cairns region. We are looking for 100 participants (one born from each year between 1917 to 2016) who have lived in Cairns for over a year to take part in a short photography and interview session. If suitable, you will be a part of the exhibition at the Tanks Cultural Arts Centre in Apr/May 2017.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

We will schedule to do a casual photo shoot and interview. The best image and quote will be chosen by the artist for use at the exhibition. The entire process will take about 45 minutes or so. The artist reserves the right to use the photos and the participants that work best for the project.

OUR AIM

This project wishes to capture a broad cross section of the Cairns community. We hope that it would be a fun and enriching experience for all involved. Please feel free to circulate this information. If you or anyone you know are interested in being a part of this exhibition project, please leave us a message on our contact page. We look forward to hearing from you!
